The Paris of the Midwest

I just learned (from a Chrysler commercial, no doubt) that Detroit was once called the Paris of the Midwest. If I had lived there then, I probably would have never moved. Anyway, not too many funny things have happened this week. I'm trying to be strict in the classroom, at least for the beginning. Maybe I'm just too tired to think, too.
